Sunday 3.23

Gonna try to post with a little less words... since there is so many damn pictures. Once again... waking up at 6am due to jet lag.. but today I got to sleep in till 7am! YAY!

 This is 9am on a Sunday. inside a mall. There are people waiting to get in to a THEATER to watch a movie. What I have noticed about this city, is that there are lines everywhere for stores that are not opened yet.

 why chinese people are good at badminton, because doesn't have enough room to build tennis courts.

 met up with my god-aunt? + uncle + dad's god father for dim sum an hour later.

 not really your average dim sum plates but the chicken was amazing.

 found a place to get my jeans and my peacoat tailored... It cost 10HKD each item ( like 1.35$ usd) very charming place... pretty much just a shack chilling on a wide side walk of a busy street. immediately after this we took a subway to get some prescription glasses.... which are damn cheap in HK.

 off to Ladies Street. Where they sell Ladies? no not really lol
literally a swap meet kinda area but EVERYDAY they sell alot of things. but mainly clothing. and random accessories like for phones. place is seriously jammed packed.

 Take the mini bus off to my oldest cousins house. I seriously forgot how this system of transportation works. Runs on the trust system. We walked in to three buses and asked them if they go to a certain place. Because they all take totally different routes

 more to my surprise is that they're equipped with manual transmission haha

 made it to my cousins house... which was like a 20 min. ride in the busy from where we already were.

 this was the larger family gatherings so far.. but then again its only my 3rd day here.

included in this is my cousin, uncle, parents, cousin in law, other uncle, cousin hiding, and then my two nieces.

after dinner... gotta take a taxi to the subway station since my cousin's house is a little up the hill from the closest one.
so a 5 min. taxi ride. to a 40min subway ride with the transfer of two different lines and a crossing of the harbor.

HK 4/21

OK so my cousin took me around at least like 6 districts... and every district had a mall which conveniently connects to the subway LOL. So in the hot summer, people just walk out of the subway station and usually one of the entrances leads in to a mall. Which is amazing so you can go shopping and hardly have to step outside!
alright so anyways. Its not too hot, just really humid. like 80def F but like 90% humidity. so the air is pretty damn thick.

anyways on to the pics... i'd tell you where each and every one was but i was totally lost myself.
This is a very popular fast food restaurant in HK, Cafe De Coral??? but its random chinese breakfast foods.

this is the quarter area between my cousin's flat and the other lying apartments. pretty much multiple complexes.

 the mall that closely connects to my cousin's flat has an ice rink inside. Also I can't stress enough, how big every mall is in this city, and HOW MANY THERE ARE... its mind blowing.

 kinda hipsterish store... where you have no idea what they sell??? kinda like urban outfitters... where there is clothing..... and furniture???

 Street food across that people wait in line for... and you eat outside. quite charming.

 The spot where my cousin and I ate. Known for their Curry beef tendon stew... it was amazing..

 headed to the back and walked up stairs to the other dining area hahaha. definitely quite charming.

 mmmmmmmmmmmmmm all of this was like 5$ lol and MILK TEA!!!

Took a closer look and I spotted some Kranze!

there is seriously too many stepwagons/wagons/etc etc cars in HK...

 Since we don't have most of them state side... its hard for me to recognize what is what.... Usually the ones I do recognize are Odysseys, vellfires, and Hiaces (which are literally used for EVERYTHING)

Made it to my cousins house around 10pm, This is the view looking out from the living room where I sleep. I sure miss the city sounds (pretty much cars and trucks passing by waking me up in the morning is surely a different experience.)
